Virya Energy Grid Solutions Belgium & C&I Belgium is seeking a Wind Project Developer to drive onshore wind projects from concept to realization. You will identify opportunities, build stakeholder relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, permitting, and energy markets.

Based in Halle, Belgium, the role supports the energy transition with a hands-on, independent yet collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering.
• Experience or strong interest in renewable energy; knowledge of energy technologies and environmental regulations related to wind energy.
• Knowledge of energy markets, energy storage and/or flexibility solutions is a plus.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward.

Responsabilités

• Initiate and coordinate all project phases, from concept and development through to project completion.
• Monitor project planning, milestones, progress and budgets, ensuring projects remain on track.
• Plan and coordinate project resources in line with priorities and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements throughout all project phases.
• Act as the company's technical representative towards grid operators, suppliers, local authorities, policymakers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate project activities and facilitate collaboration with internal teams, including engineering, land acquisition, business development, O&M, procurement, legal, finance and energy markets.
• Prepare and manage permitting applications and approval processes.
• Prepare investment proposals and present recommendations to the Management Committee.
• Support and participate in contract negotiations with turbine suppliers, contractors and other key partners.
• Contribute to building local support for wind projects through stakeholder engagement, technical input and transparent communication.
• Continuously expand sector knowledge and expertise, developing into a recognized specialist in renewable energy project development.

As a Wind Project Developer , you will be at the forefront of the energy transition. Requirements

• - A Master's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering.
• - Experience or a strong interest in renewable energy, with knowledge of energy technologies and environmental regulations related to wind energy.
• - Knowledge of energy markets, energy storage and/or flexibility solutions is a plus.
• - Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• - Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward.
• - Professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English.
• - A proactive, hands-on and independent attitude, while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• - To be eligible for this role, you must currently reside in Belgium and hold a valid work permit
