FMA Services is seeking a Project Cost Controller to manage financial and operational aspects of a large-scale industrial project. You will translate project data into reliable forecasts, monitor budgets, commitments, and actual costs, and support cost reporting and management decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in project controlling within EPC/construction sectors, strong analytical and communication skills, advanced Excel, and experience with SAP/Oracle/EcoSys.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in project controlling in EPC, construction, energy, or process industries.
• Strong forecasting, budget management, and project cost reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/project control tools such as SAP/Oracle/EcoSys is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Set up and maintain cost control structure aligned with WBS/CBS and project budget.
• Monitor budget, commitments, actual costs, accruals, forecast, ETC, and EAC.
• Perform variance analyses and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Integrate progress data into cost forecasts and apply earned value when relevant.
• Support change control by analyzing cost impacts of scope changes, trends, and claims.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, dashboards, cash flow, and forecast overviews for project management.
• Coordinate with procurement, contracts, planning, finance, and construction on costs, POs, invoices, and progress.
• Monitor data quality in ERP and project control systems and improve reporting processes.

About the Position

We are looking for a Project Cost Controller for the financial and operational management of a large-scale industrial project.

You will translate project data into reliable forecasts and management information, and monitor budget, commitments, actuals, changes, and cost-to-complete.

Your Responsibilities

• Setting up and maintaining the cost control structure in line with WBS/CBS and the project budget.
• Monitoring budget, commitments, actual costs, accruals, forecast, ETC, and EAC.
• Performing variance analyses and identifying financial risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
• Integrating progress data into cost forecasts and applying earned value principles where relevant.
• Supporting change control by analyzing the cost impacts of scope changes, trends, and claims.
• Preparing periodic cost reports, dashboards, cash flow, and forecast overviews for project management.
• Coordinating with procurement, contracts, planning, finance, and construction regarding costs, POs, invoices, and progress.
• Monitoring data quality in ERP and project control systems and actively improving reporting processes.

Your Profile

• Relevant experience in project control within EPC, construction, energy, infrastructure, or the process industry.
• Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of forecasting, budget management, and project cost reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; Power BI is a distinct advantage.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, or similar ERP/project control tools is desired.
• You are critical, possess strong communication skills, and are comfortable consulting with project managers and discipline leads.
• Good knowledge of English; Dutch is an advantage.

Education & experience

Education: Bachelor/Master in finance, engineering, economics, or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project controlling

Certificates & site requirements

• Knowledge of earned value management and change control is highly desirable.
• Experience with large multidisciplinary projects is a significant asset.
