Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Production Engineer in Tessenderlo, Belgium to drive plant performance and implement sustainable improvements. You will collaborate with operators, maintenance, reliability and technology teams to optimize operations while ensuring safety, quality and productivity.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, continuous improvement and leading capacity and process optimization projects. Strong analytical skills, leadership potential, and fluency in Dutch and English are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience also considered.
• Experience in production, process or manufacturing engineering in the chemical industry preferred.
• Knowledge of process control systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of production units.
• Develop understanding of process technology, equipment and control systems.
• Support daily production activities and optimize plant performance (safety, quality, cost, throughput).
• Define and maintain optimal operating windows and run profiles.
• Monitor and analyze key process indicators and drive improvements.
• Lead or support root cause investigations and problem solving.
• Identify improvement opportunities and translate into actionable projects.
• Act as plant representative for Management of Change (MOC) activities.
• Support and lead capital and plant improvement projects.
• Ensure procedures meet quality requirements and support quality initiatives.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), HAZOP and risk assessments.
