Job summary

ShowTex nv is seeking a Production Assistant for its Sewing Workshop’s Creative Team in Belgium. You will help turn creative concepts into finished textile products, supporting the sewing workshop, preparing materials, and ensuring projects meet deadlines with high quality.

You will collaborate with colleagues across Europe on diverse projects, contributing to design adaptations and accurate production while learning new techniques in a fast-paced, creative environment at our Antwerp-area

Qualifications

• Previous experience isn’t essential.
• Familiarity with drawing or design software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sewing and textile fabrication is a plus.
• Fluency in Dutch is required.
• English knowledge is a plus.
• Numeracy skills and accurate measurement handling are important.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workspaces and materials so projects run efficiently and on schedule.
• Create decorative elements based on design briefs or ideas.
• Cut, stick, glue, fit and assemble materials for high-quality results.
• Support sewing workshop throughout production and help complete jobs on time.
• Contribute practical and creative solutions to challenges.
• Record issues and suggest improvements to processes.
• Assist with stock management and project documentation.
• Check orders are correct, complete and ready for dispatch.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

No two days are the same. Together with your colleagues, you turn creative concepts into carefully finished products.

• You prepare workspaces and materials so projects can run efficiently and stay on schedule.
• You create decorative elements based on a design, a brief or a specific idea.
• You cut, stick, glue, fit and assemble different materials to achieve a high-quality result.
• You support the sewing workshop throughout production and help complete jobs smoothly and within the agreed deadlines.
• You contribute practical and creative solutions to technical and visual challenges.
• You carry out quality checks during production, making sure dimensions, finishes, materials and accessories are correct and complete.
• You test finishes and trial setups to check that each project meets the required quality standards.
• You record issues and areas for improvement and help us refine our processes.
• You help with stock management, administrative tasks and keeping project information up to date.
• You check that orders are correct, complete and ready for dispatch.
• You help keep the workplace safe, tidy and organised.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience isn’t essential. Your motivation and willingness to learn matter just as much to us.
• Familiarity with drawing or design software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sewing and textile fabrication is a plus.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch.
• Knowledge of English is a plus.
• You have good numeracy skills and work accurately with measurements and dimensions.
