In4Matic is seeking a Finance & Reporting Business Analyst in Belgium to drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting activities, and IT systems. You will bridge business stakeholders and IT, translating needs into practical solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen financial operations.

You combine analytical thinking with strong communication and stakeholder management, working across Finance, Reporting, and IT to deliver tangible business value.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting including BEGAAP and IFRS.
• Familiarity with life insurance products and related business requirements.
• Solid understanding of IT systems and how business processes interact with technology.
• Ability to analyse complex requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across Finance, Reporting, and IT.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between business stakeholders and IT teams, turning complex business needs into practical solutions that enhance efficiency, strengthen financial operations, and support informed decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse, coordinate, and follow up on prioritized business requirements and improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into clear functional analyses and specifications.
• Identify process inefficiencies, operational risks, and opportunities to optimize financial workflows, reporting activities, and supporting applications.
• Ensure consistency and alignment across multiple initiatives, considering their impact on end-to-end financial processes.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather insights, support decision-making, and build consensus.
• Monitor priorities, dependencies, timelines, and business impact throughout the lifecycle of improvement initiatives.
• Maintain oversight of the project roadmap and communicate progress, challenges, and key developments to management.

Your Profile & Expertise

• Finance & Accounting: Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, including Belgian GAAP (BEGAAP) and IFRS.
• Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with life insurance products, processes, and related business requirements.
• IT & Systems: Strong understanding of IT systems, application landscapes, and the interaction between business processes and technology.
• Business Analysis: Ability to assess complex requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and translate them into actionable functional solutions.
• Communication & Coordination: Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Languages: Fluent in both Dutch and English.
