Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst to support a fast-paced finance transformation program. The role sits at the intersection of Finance and Technology, focusing on gathering, clarifying and translating business requirements for finance processes and systems in an environment where priorities and requirements continue to evolve.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience and analytical level.
• Solid experience with requirements gathering and functional analysis.
• Good understanding of finance terminology and financial processes and you can communicate confidently with Business Controllers, FP&A teams and other Finance stakeholders.
• Excel proficiency.
• Work independently and proactively with limited guidance, taking ownership.
• Comfortable in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment where not all requirements are defined upfront.
• Fast learner with a strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, challenge and document business requirements from Finance stakeholders, including FP&A, Business Controllers and Consolidation teams.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and support solution design activities.
• Analyze processes, data flows and business challenges to identify effective solutions.
• Work with finance stakeholders to understand reporting, planning, consolidation and performance management requirements.
• Facilitate communication between business users, project teams and technical experts.
• Participate in functional analysis, testing and validation activities to ensure successful delivery of key project milestones.
• Support data analysis and reconciliation efforts where required.
• Bring structure and clarity to complex situations while supporting multiple initiatives and shifting priorities.
