Job summary

Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Belgium, branch of Rothschild Martin Maurel, seeks a Private Banker Assistant to provide business and administrative support to Private Bankers across client relationships from first contact through life of banking relations.

You will handle client introductions, account openings, maintain AML compliance, client inquiries, and support life insurance and Lombard credits requests in coordination with back-office teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in banking, finance, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in banking environment, ideally in a Private Bank and/or in a Family office.
• Successful experience in a similar function is required.
• Reliable and attention to detail.
• Flexible and autonomous.
• Discretion is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, client-and solution-oriented.
• Organized and concise, with a strong multitasking ability.
• Ability to anticipate risk and to react/call out appropriately.

• Full command of French and English, good knowledge of Dutch is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Private Bankers in client introduction and account opening; prepare client meetings; identify documentation; follow up opening process with compliance and back-office.
• Receive and execute day-to-day client banking instructions: wire transfers, securities, UCITS, money market, FX spot transactions.
• Monitor debit/credit balances and take appropriate action.
• Assist in client relationship development; answer client inquiries; edit and check client reports; follow update cycles in AML/compliance.
• Receive and manage client requests relating to life insurance contracts or Lombard Credits; coordinate with central support departments.
