Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Specialist Belgium to drive pricing strategy for RFQs and bids, collaborate with European pricing, and support growth in international air freight while coordinating with operations and station staff to maximize bid value.

The role requires 2+ years in freight pricing, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English; knowledge of CargoWise is advantageous. Based in Belgium with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration.
• 2+ years in international freight forwarding pricing, inside sales, or operational controlling.
• Extensive experience in the logistics industry.
• Solid knowledge of ocean freight (FCL/LCL, spot, tenders, contract rates).
• Experience with air freight is beneficial.
• Exposure to day-to-day operations, product and services sales, and customer interaction.
• Solid analytical and numerical skills for reviewing and analyzing data.
• Commercial insight with good communication skills.
• CargoWise experience is an advantage - experience with similar TMS systems required.
• Business fluent English; additional major European languages would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support to develop, analyze, and evaluate pricing initiatives for AIT.
• Manage costs, carriers and market-related adjustments.
• Collaborate with European Pricing for RFQs and tenders over 500k and spot quotes.
• Improve the success ratio and provide sales with a one-stop-shop.
• Respond to monthly quotes requests.
• Work with operations and stations to implement bids and optimize carrier usage.
• Ensure documentation for pricing and contacts is accurate.
• Perform pricing risk assessments.
• Generate reports and analyses to support pricing decisions and strategy.
• Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities in Air Freight pricing.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws.

Overview

The Pricing Specialist Belgium is part of the pricing and quoting team. Handling all pricing support and strategy for RFQs and support the growth in the international Air Freight and work closely with operations and station staff implementing bids and utilizing the proper carriers to maximize the benefits forecasted in the bids.

Responsibilities

• Support to develop, analyze, and evaluate strategic and operational pricing initiatives for AIT.

• Together with the European Pricing department responsible for all regional RFQ's, local tenders greater than 500k, and for specific spot quotes.
• Improving the success ratio and providing our sales team one-stop-shop.

• Work closely with operations and field stations to implement bids and utilize the proper carriers to maximize the benefits forecasted in the bid.
• Ensuring accurate and complete documentation for pricing and contacts
• Perform risk assessment of pricing.
• Generating reports and data analyses to support pricing decision and strategy.
• Identifying areas of process improvement and cost reduction in Air Freight pricing
