Magnus Energy in Belgium invites a (Senior) Consultant - Power System Operations & Planning to help leading European energy organisations solve complex operational and power-system challenges. You will work with TSOs, RCCs, DSOs, and technology providers, contributing to the development of Magnus Energy’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems or a related discipline.
• 1-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge of power system operations and operational-planning processes.
• Practical experience in transmission-network modelling, load-flow analysis and contingency analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Python or another scripting language.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (min C1); Dutch/German/French or another European language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical consulting assignments related to operational planning, regional coordination and power system studies.
• Perform transmission-network modelling, load-flow analysis and contingency analysis.
• Lead defined technical workstreams and coordinate with client experts, project managers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to client workshops, presentations, proposals and tender responses.
• Use Python or other scripting approaches to improve analysis and automation.
• Support the development of methodologies and knowledge assets.
