Job summary

Ghent University invites applications for a Post-doctoral assistant in the department of Telecommunications and Information Processing. The position initially offers a one-year appointment starting 1 January 2027, with a predominant focus on research and significant teaching responsibilities.

You will supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Advanced Master’s students, assist in undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to doctoral mentoring.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required at start of appointment.
• Experience in camera/radar/lidar sensor fusion for safe traffic.
• Ability to supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s and Advanced Master’s students and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct academic research for 70% of the assignment.
• Assist teaching at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Counsel doctoral and master’s students.
• Tutor and coach students as needed.
