Job summary

European External Action Service (EEAS) is seeking a Policy Officer contract agent FGIVas per Article 3b of the CEOS. The successful candidate will join the Commission team of SG.COORD to coordinate relations between the EEAS and the European Commission, and to support internal and inter-institutional coordination.

The position offers an initial one-year contract, with possible renewals up to six years, subject to EEAS rules and CAST exam success.

Responsibilities

• Preparations and support for the implementation of the Commission Work Programme and other Commission initiatives, including their external dimension, as well as the State of the Union address.
• Support the preparation and follow-up of GRI meetings, including coordination with relevant EEAS departments, preparation of briefings and reports, and participation in preparatory meetings.
• Coordination of EXCO for the geographical areas covered by the post, including coordination with the relevant EEAS services and contribution to the preparation of briefings and reporting.
• Contribution to the reporting on external action, such as the Annual Management Plan, and Annual Activity Report as well.
