The European External Action Service (EEAS) is the EU’s diplomatic service, supporting the High Representative in CFSP and coordinating EU external action. The Policy Officer (contract agent FGIV) will join the Commission team in SG.COORD to strengthen internal and inter-institutional coordination and contribute to external relations with the EC.

Originally contracted for one year with possible renewal, the role requires proactive, flexible collaboration, and strong policy judgment.

Qualifications

• Sound political judgement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparations and follow-up for the Commission Work Programme and external actions, including the State of the Union address.
• Coordinate and support for GRI meetings; prepare briefings and reports; participate in preparatory meetings.
• Coordinate EXCO for the designated geographical areas; liaise with EEAS services; contribute to briefings and reporting.
• Contribute to reporting on external action, such as the Annual Management Plan and Annual Activity Report.
