Job summary

Atos is seeking an Operations Manager for Digital Platform & DevOps Operations in Brussels with 50% onsite work. The role focuses on defining the operating model, improving process maturity, and coordinating across OpenShift/Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD tooling to support 24/7 mission-critical services.

The role sits between the DevOps Lead and management, driving planned operations and documented procedures, while ensuring on-call coverage and incident control in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT operations or platform operations, incl. 3+ years in an operations-management role.
• Experience leading through a technical lead or team leads and setting direction.
• Proven track record of introducing operational processes with measurable results.
• ITIL-based operations practice (incident, problem, change, release).
• Overview-level technical knowledge across container platforms, middleware, Kafka, databases, CI/CD and Linux.
• Application management experience: releases, deployments, environment control, upgrades.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; clear reporting to management.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and the priorities for the platform operations team.
• Line-manage the DevOps Lead and ensure clear roles and on-call coverage.
• Run a single intake and prioritisation process for all platform work aligned to priorities.
• Define and enforce operational processes for incident, change, and release management.
• Own incident management for major platform incidents and drive post-incident reviews.
• Monitor, alerting and application management including dashboards and SLA adherence.
• Define and track KPIs and report regularly to management.
• Maintain the platform risk register and mitigations.
