Imec seeks a MEMS Packaging, Integration & Modeling Expert in Leuven, Belgium, to push next-generation packaging for MEMS and implantable devices. You will drive wafer-level packaging, multi-physics modeling, and integration strategies across neuroprobe programs, collaborating with process, design, and project teams to deliver manufacturable solutions.

The role spans from R&D Engineer to Principal MT staff depending on background, with close interaction with internal stakeholders and customers

Qualifikationen

• PhD required with strong MEMS packaging/integration expertise.
• Experience with multi-physics simulations and device modeling desirable.
• Proven ability to work across engineering disciplines and with project teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and evaluate MEMS packaging concepts beyond current industry practice.
• Lead wafer-level packaging integration for MEMS and implantable devices.
• Define processes enabling reliable integration of complex MEMS structures.
• Perform thermal and mechanical FEM to assess performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with process, design, and project teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Support customer/internal projects with expertise in packaging, integration, and modeling.
• Contribute to roadmap for neuroprobe and implantable device packaging.
• Document and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
