IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a Pilot Line Engineer to manage daily process and tool qualification, stability improvements, and problem prevention. You will guide first and second line troubleshooters, investigate recurring issues, and ensure quality and reproducibility through data-driven actions.

With a Master in Science or Engineering and strong engineering mindset, you will adapt quickly, take ownership, and communicate effectively in an international team.

Qualifications

• Master in Science or Engineering or equivalent by experience.
• Ability to rapidly adapt to changing priorities.
• Process & quality driven problem solver with proactive attitude.
• Takes ownership and completes tasks autonomously.
• Strong communication and reporting skills for cross functional teams.
• Flexible team player in an international environment.
• Fluency in English is required.

• Works in a two-shift system (Early/Late) including 1 weekend in 4.

What you will do

The Pilot Line Engineer Is Responsible For

• Daily follow-up of process & tool qualification, stability, improvements and problem prevention.
• Troubleshoots issues related to the processing and enables first and second line trouble shooters to step up.
• Investigates recurring issues, focusing on root cause analysis and structural solutions.
• Keeps focus on quality and reproducibility, monitoring stability and taking actions in case of process fluctuations.
• Designs experimental plans and executes them in the cleanroom, performing data analysis and taking care of reporting and documentation.
• Works in a dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment in close cooperation with researchers, hardware engineers, operations, industry assignees, device and process experts.
• Works in a two-shifts system (Early/Late) including 1weekend (Sa/Su) out of 4.
