IMEC in Leuven, Belgium seeks a Lithography R&D Engineer to analyze lithography process development requests and design experiments in the cleanroom. You will deliver advanced lithography processes for leading-edge logic and interconnect platforms, collaborating with mask design to collect OPC data and transfer processes to pilot or high-volume production.

You will monitor overlay performance, analyze data for improvements, and troubleshoot related measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom.
• Experience with advanced lithography (193nm immersion/EUV) is a plus.
• Fluent in English; well organized and eager to learn.

Litho R&D Engineer

What you will do

• You will be responsible for analyzing and discussing lithography process development requests
• You design and execute the experimental plan in the cleanroom and analyze and interpret the experimental results
• You are expected to deliver high quality lithography processes for leading edge logic and interconnet technology platforms that meet module research and manufacturability requirements
• You will work together with the mask design team to generate lithography design rules and collect OPC data for new test mask design and tape out
• You document and transfer the lithography processes to the imec pilot production line or a high-volume manufacturing site
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other engineering teams, such as integration, etch, CMP to ensure the successful integration of overlay control into the overall semiconductor manufacturing process.
• Monitoring overlay performance on a regular basis and analyzing data to identify trends and potential issues. Analyzing process data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance overlay performance. Generating regular reports on overlay performance and presenting findings to management and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to overlay measurement tools.

Who you are

• You have a MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• You have experience with semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom.
• Experience with advanced lithography (193nm immersion/EUV) is a plus.
• You are well organized and eager to learn.
• You have good technical problem-solving skills and are comfortable with multitasking.
• You are an excellent communicator and have good reporting skills.
• You are fluent in English.
