Job summary

Edgard & Cooper is seeking a Consumer & Market Insights intern to voice pet parents' needs within our small insights team. You will influence product development, branding, and packaging decisions by turning consumer insights into actionable recommendations.

You will work on qualitative and quantitative research, contribute to brand communication strategies, and explore trends and data to shape new products in a fast-growing pet foods company. Office-based in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing studies in marketing, economic sciences, social sciences (such as business psychology), or related fields.
• Proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of either Dutch or French is essential.
• You’re interested in qualitative and quantitative research. A first experience with market research (in your studies) is a plus.
• Sniffing out secondary research (online data & reports, trends).
• You're eager to understand consumer behaviours and brands, and pets.
• Familiarity with one or more research tools and software, such as SPSS, Q, Excel, etc., is a plus.
• You have an analytical mindset.
• You genuinely care about sustainability and social impact (aligned with B-corp values).

Responsibilities

• Support in the full cycle of qualitative and quantitative market research.
• Craft surveys and interview guides for research questions.
• Conduct qualitative fieldwork (interviews, consumer observations).
• Coordinate quantitative fieldwork (online surveys).
• Analyze data and write actionable recommendations.
• Transform insights into breakthrough products and communications with the team.
• Sniff secondary research (online data & reports, trends).
• Be adaptable in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
