ChristianaCare is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician to work 20 hours weekly, including Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:45 to 5:15 and one additional 4-hour weekday shift. The outpatient retail pharmacy operates Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, assisting pharmacists, and handling billing, labeling, and patient inquiries with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification is required.
• PTCB certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• Encouraged to have a 2-year Associates or 4-year Bachelor in Health Sciences; must achieve PTCB within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Fill prescriptions with data entry, insurance billing, labeling and packaging.
• Assist pharmacist to provide timely, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
• Make medication credit and charge adjustments in the system.
• Return extra medications to stock and restock as needed.
• Reorder medications in short supply and maintain clean work area.
• Answer phone and greet visitors courteously.
• Provide information on patient drug orders and refer inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Orient and train new pharmacy personnel.
