Start People Belgium is seeking a Junior Operations Expert in Life Sciences to contribute to production of ATMPs in a GMP-regulated environment. Ideal candidate is a Bachelor with internship or hands-on experience, strong collaboration, and attention to quality.

You will work daily in a cleanroom, perform aseptic processes, participate in process optimization, support SOPs and production documentation, and benefit from a 4-on/4-off schedule and competitive pay. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Bio-Engineering or other relevant scientific field.
• Hands-on experience via internships, lab work, or professional roles in pharma/biotech/healthcare/GMP environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Clear communication in English and high attention to detail.
• Proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude and focus on quality.
• Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Work daily in a Class A/B/C/D cleanroom environment and maintain equipment/facilities cleanliness.
• Produce clinical and commercial ATMPs through aseptic manual processes incl. cell isolation, selection, activation, transduction, culture, filling & finishing, cryopreservation.
• Perform in-process control tests on batch samples with high standards for cell counts/viability.
• Ensure equipment operates smoothly by following instructions, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs.
• Contribute to process optimization, incl. introducing new products/procedures/equipment in GMP areas.
• Support writing/review of SOPs and production documents; manage raw materials, consumables, and waste.
