Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will partner with factory and operations leaders to identify improvement opportunities, remove bottlenecks, and coach teams on data-driven problem solving.

You will lead Kaizen events, map end-to-end processes, and ensure sustainable improvements on the shop floor while traveling to support factories across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Engineering, with hands-on experience in manufacturing; factory experience mandatory.
• Lean Six Sigma methodologies knowledge; Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred.
• Proven experience leading Kaizen Events, Gemba activities, process mapping, value stream analysis, root-cause analysis, and change management initiatives.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, remove constraints, and improve end-to-end value stream performance.
• Strong communication, facilitation, training, and presentation skills with experience delivering Lean Six Sigma workshops and certification programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making skills.
• Self-driven, hands-on, shop-floor presence with production teams to deliver sustainable improvements.
• Willingness to travel regularly (min 20%).
• Fluent in English; German or Swedish is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Act as a trusted Continuous Improvement advisor for Factory Managers and leadership teams, driving data-driven analyses, optimization initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
• Work across the value chain to identify bottlenecks, remove constraints, improve flow, and maximize business performance.
• Maintain a strong shop-floor presence through regular Gemba activities with operators, supervisors, and managers to identify opportunities and sustain improvements.
• Drive Kaizen Events and Rapid Improvement Workshops to accelerate problem-solving and deliver fast, sustainable results.
• Train, coach, and mentor employees and leaders in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, supporting certification programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to map, analyze, redesign, and optimize end-to-end processes.
• Lead deployment of Lean principles, standardization, best practices, and benchmarking across manufacturing sites.
• Monitor, track, and communicate improvement results through KPIs, ensuring sustainable impact.
• Travel to support factories and lead workshops (min 20% travel).
