Job summary

Uma is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations and serve as the link between executive leadership, project management, estimating, administration, execution and sales. You will build a strong organization, create overview, set priorities and ensure people, processes, and data drive predictable results.

Responsibilities include coaching project leaders, defining roles and governance, maintaining short- and long-term planning, capacity forecasting, and ensuring quotes

• Experience leading project managers and operational staff.
• Clear roles, responsibilities and governance structures.
• Ability to build forecasts and capacity plans across activities and teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations and coach/ support project leaders and staff.
• Create clear roles, responsibilities and meeting structures.
• Monitor short- and long-term planning across activities and project teams.
• Track work-in-progress by activity, region, project type and implementation period.
• Translate workload into needed capacity, hires, subcontracting and priorities.
• Build and monitor forecasts for revenue, production, capacity and margins.
• Oversee costing process ensuring bids are timely, complete, technically accurate and within margins.
• Monitor close-rate, cycle time, price level and realized vs calculated margins.
• Feedback insights from execution and post-calculation to estimation, pricing and project selection.
• Contribute to setting commercial priorities based on workload, capacity, revenue mix and return.
• Monitor revenue, margins, profitability, progress, staffing, quality and deadlines.
• Analyze deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Improve and standardize processes and cross-department collaboration.
• Develop and monitor relevant KPI’s and use data and digital tools for reliable management information.
