What will you be doing?

• Primary Contact for Technical Inquiries: You and your team will be the go-to people for customer technical issues. No need to worry about printer setups – your focus will be on complex problems, technologies, and enhancements for the client.

• Network Management for Large Client: Manage that particular client network infrastructure from our office, your home office, and occasionally on-site for specialized support.

• Understanding Client Operations: Get to know the workings and needs of our client, ensuring your daily operations support their business processes effectively.

• Client Interaction: Collaborate online and by phone, with scheduled meetings to maintain strong partnership.

• Team Collaboration: Together with the Service Manager and Architect, you'll ensure smooth operational support for that client. You’ll tackle incidents to minimize disruption and avoid future issues, maintain client or platform documentation, and identify continuous improvement opportunities to be implemented with the client and spotit colleagues.

• Off-Hours Work as Needed: When planned upgrades require it, occasional evening or weekend work won’t be an obstacle for you.

• On-Call Support Rotation: Join your expert colleagues in a rotating standby schedule to provide top-notch care whenever they need it.

A day in the life of a NOC Engineer at spotit

Your day begins with a cup of coffee and a quick check of the network you oversee. The morning is all about diving into alerts or anomalies, ensuring the systems are performing optimally. Complex technical challenges take center stage.

Before noon, you’re likely engaging with the client in online or phone meetings, understanding their needs and aligning solutions with their goals. Whether it’s troubleshooting or enhancing their infrastructure, you’re strengthening relationships while keeping their operations on track.

After lunch, it’s time to collaborate with your team. Alongside the Service Manager and Architect, you’ll address incidents, update documentation, and plan system improvements. You’ll also prep for upcoming upgrades or changes, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.

As the day winds down, you reflect on your contributions. Maybe it’s a network you secured, a critical problem you solved, or a long-term enhancement you set in motion. When you’re on-call, you’ll seamlessly step in with your expert colleagues to provide the client with unparalleled care whenever they need it. • Language Skills: Fluent in Dutch with solid English skills.

• Team Player with Self-Drive: You work well with a team but also thrive independently.

• Education and Experience: A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred, but experience matters just as much.

• Technical Skills and Certifications: Experience with Cisco WAN/LAN/ACI/..., Palo Alto FW (incl. Panorama), F5, and Infoblox. Relevant certifications are a plus. No certification yet? We value ambition and will support you in obtaining these.

• Familiarity with ITIL Framework: You know ITIL processes and their use within IT service organizations, with an emphasis on communicating in the right way.
