At spotit, cybersecurity is never one‑size‑fits‑all. As a SOC DevOps Engineer, you will support and strengthen the security posture of multiple customers across different sectors. From critical infrastructure to enterprise environments, you help design, build and optimize secure, scalable SOC environments.

This role goes beyond monitoring. You combine a strong security‑first mindset with hands‑on engineering expertise. You automate, improve and secure cloud‑native environments, while supporting advanced incident response when needed. You are a key technical pillar across our SOC services, helping us deliver excellence, every single day.

What will you do?

• Design, build and maintain secure cloud‑native SOC environments
• Engineer and support Kubernetes environments (preferably AKS)
• Manage Azure identity and secrets management securely and efficiently
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for security tooling and automation
• Create scripts and automations in Python
• Support L2‑L3 incident response and advise on complex cases
• Continuously improve detection and response capabilities across customer environments
• Contribute to strengthening spotit’s SOC services and best practices

A day in the life of a SOC engineer

Your day starts by reviewing updates across several customer environments. A new deployment pipeline needs tightening and you refine Terraform configurations and integrate additional security checks into the CI/CD flow.

Later, you collaborate with the SOC team on a complex alert that requires deeper technical analysis. You assess Kubernetes logs, validate identity configurations in Azure, and ensure secrets are properly managed.

In the afternoon, you automate a recurring manual task using Python, improving efficiency across multiple customer setups. Every improvement you make scales, not just for one client, but across our entire SOC ecosystem.

Your profile

• A strong security‑first mindset
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, preferably on AKS
• Strong knowledge of Azure identity and secrets management
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong Python skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English

Nice to have:

• Experience working in a SOC and/or MSSP environment
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel
• Knowledge of the Elastic Stack
• Experience with Cortex XSOAR
