Job summary

Telio Management GmbH is seeking a Network Engineer to operate and optimize complex on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid networks across Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme, Azure, and AWS. You will ensure security, performance, and high availability while handling firewall rules, VPNs, and IaC driven changes.

The role requires 3+ years in network engineering or operations, hands-on troubleshooting, and strong communication in international teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Operations.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPN technologies, firewalls, and network security.
• Experience with multi-vendor enterprise network environments.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting skills across on‑premises and cloud‑based infrastructures.
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Good understanding of Azure and/or AWS networking.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, or equivalent.
• Strong focus on operational excellence, reliability, and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in international teams.
• Fluent English and French, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10-20%).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and support on‑premise, virtualized, cloud, and hybrid networks.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure.
• Manage and operate firewall and security platforms, including NAT and segmentation.
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes networking.
• Operate and monitor hybrid connectivity solutions (VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Act as 2nd-level support for network incidents and escalations.
• Monitor networks using centralized tools, analyze logs and traffic, identify risks.
• Execute network changes using IaC and Git workflows.
• Maintain documentation and incident records.
• Support disaster recovery testing and audits.
• Collaborate with international teams and contribute to automation initiatives.

Job description

Your mission

• Operate, maintain, and support on‑premise, virtualized, cloud, and hybrid network environments across Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme, Azure, and AWS
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure, following defined operational and change management processes
• Manage and operate firewall and network security platforms, including firewall rules, NAT policies, segmentation, and cloud‑native security controls
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes networking
• Operate and monitor hybrid connectivity solutions such as Site‑to‑Site VPNs, Client VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect
• Act as 2nd‑level support for network and connectivity incidents, analyzing escalations and resolving recurring operational issues
• Monitor network environments using centralized tools, analyze logs, metrics, and traffic flows, and proactively identify risks
• Execute network changes and lifecycle activities using Infrastructure as Code and Git‑based workflows
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident records, and operational procedures
• Support disaster recovery testing, audits, and compliance activities
• Collaborate with an international IT and platform team, contribute to standardization and automation initiatives, and participate in on‑call rotations

Your profile

• 3+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Operations
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPN technologies, firewalls, and network security
• Experience with multi-vendor enterprise network environments
• Hands‑on troubleshooting skills across on‑premises and cloud‑based infrastructures
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Good understanding of Azure and/or AWS networking
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, or equivalent
• Strong focus on operational excellence, reliability, and documentation
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in international teams
• Fluent English and French, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10-20%)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kubernetes networking
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Git‑based workflows
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools such as Jira
• Experience with enterprise telephony or VoIP systems
