Nebiru in Brussels is seeking a Network Engineer to operate, maintain and improve our enterprise network spanning LAN, WAN, data centres and cloud environments. You will configure routing, switching, wireless and firewall technologies while contributing to modernisation and cloud connectivity projects.

• Background in computer science or equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
• Experience with cloud technologies and Cisco networking environments.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain and improve enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data centre and cloud environments.
• Configure, troubleshoot and support routing, switching, wireless and firewall technologies.
• Contribute to network modernisation, cloud connectivity, data centre deployments and infrastructure projects.
• Support secure and reliable IT and OT network operations in a 24/7 business environment.
• Collaborate with ICT teams and colleagues across Belgium and other European locations.
• Participate in carefully planned network changes, incident resolution and standby support.
• Contribute to network automation and monitoring using relevant tools and technologies.

What you bring

• A background in computer science.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP and MST.
• Understanding of firewall technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies and Cisco networking environments.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless.
• Experience with Python and/or Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, NAC, centralised syslog, TACACS and RADIUS.
