VeroTech is seeking a .NET developer to join our community of engineers. You will support an industrial client by developing two internal .NET 4.8 WinForms applications, navigating a shared legacy codebase while delivering UI, business logic and data interactions.

Working with product owners and a technical expert, you will extend tests, participate in code reviews, and help translate non-technical roadmap inputs into concrete features in a hybrid Belgian work setup.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of .NET 4.8 WinForms and legacy patterns.
• Ability to navigate a reviewed, tested but complex shared codebase.
• Experience covering UI, business logic and database interactions.
• Discipline in unit testing and manual regression testing.
• Good communication and ability to clarify non-technical requirements.

About The Role

As a VeroTech consultant, you will support an industrial client with the development of two internal .NET applications that share the same .NET 4.8 WinForms codebase. Your work is divided across both applications and combines feature development, codebase navigation and quality improvement in a legacy environment that is tested but not always straightforward.

You will contribute with a full-stack mindset, covering UI, business logic and database interactions. You will also help clarify non-technical roadmap input with the product owner and a technical expert, while working semi-independently within agreed review and escalation paths.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features across two internal .NET 4.8 WinForms applications
• Navigate and improve a shared legacy codebase with existing test coverage
• Implement changes across UI, business logic and database interactions
• Clarify unclear requirements with the product owner and technical expert
• Extend unit tests for one product, supported by AI where relevant
• Set up effective manual regression tests for the application without unit test coverage
• Work within established code review and escalation processes

What we're looking for

We are looking for a developer with mature ownership, strong judgement and clear communication, whether gained through senior experience or demonstrated professional maturity.

• Strong knowledge of .NET 4.8 WinForms and confidence working with legacy patterns
• Comfortable navigating an unclear but tested shared codebase
• Full-stack mindset covering UI, business logic and database interactions
• Disciplined approach to unit testing and manual regression testing
• Able to follow up and clarify non-technical roadmap requirements while knowing when to ask for support
• Experience shipping complete features and reading errors carefully during development
• Dutch is preferred, and English is also accepted for professional communication
