This full-time role requires advanced scientific credentials, field-based engagement up to 60–70%, strong communication, and rigorous non-promotional compliance.
Advanced therapeutic-area and product expertise underpinned by an advanced scientific degree, with strong scientific communication, omnichannel engagement and data/analytical capability for field medical activity.
Leads through expertise rather than formal authority - orchestrating cross-functional and/or account teams and influencing stakeholders toward shared objectives. Supports the development of peers and junior colleagues and embraces change. Acts as a role model for Takeda's six culture pillars (Patient-Centric, People-Minded, Respectful & Collaborative, Decision Effectiveness, Performance Culture and Enterprise Orientation).
Operates with autonomy within a defined scope; makes and is accountable for decisions that affect territory results and customer outcomes. Uses Takeda's decision framework, balancing Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business priorities, and respects decision roles (Decide / Advise / Inform). Debates then commits, decides confidently with the information available and acts with speed while managing risk and compliance.
Predominantly external, KOL/HCP-facing engagement (the majority of role time), with internal collaboration across Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners to relay insights.
Applies strong scientific and technical knowledge, shares insights and takes calculated, compliant risks to improve engagement and outcomes. Uses CRM, data, digital tools and AI to prioritise, personalise and adapt quickly. Operates field-based in a competitive specialty market with significant travel, balancing scientific excellence with strict non-promotional compliance.
Sets ambitious personal and team goals, takes accountability for delivery, acts with pace and achieves measurable results for patients and the business.
Collaborates across functions and geographies, shares insights and best practice, and supports the wider enterprise ahead of narrow local interests.
This role must be performed in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and industry codes (e.g. EFPIA and the relevant national pharmaceutical industry code) and with Takeda's policies, SOPs and ethical standards.
