Senior Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant to play a key role in a large-scale international transformation project.

In this role, you will contribute to the further optimization, standardization, and international rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365. The primary focus is on harmonizing business processes, implementing Microsoft best practices, and reducing unnecessary customizations.

You will work in a complex international environment where multiple countries, business units, and operational teams collaborate to establish a future-proof Dynamics 365 platform.

Job Description

As a Senior Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, and optimizing business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

You will combine in-depth functional expertise with a strong understanding of business processes and solution architecture. You will advise stakeholders on the most suitable solutions within the standard Dynamics platform and critically assess when custom development is genuinely necessary.

You will actively contribute to the development of a standardized international Dynamics environment, ensuring alignment between global guidelines and local operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end service processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service.
• Analyze, design, and optimize existing and new business processes.
• Advise business stakeholders on functional solutions using standard Dynamics 365 capabilities.
• Critically evaluate and constructively challenge complex or non-standard business requirements.
• Independently configure Dynamics 365 Field Service and Microsoft Dataverse.
• Design, implement, and improve processes related to work orders, planning, scheduling, and dispatching.
• Configure and manage resources, skills, territories, bookings, and scheduling.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of Field Service Mobile solutions for field technicians.
• Participate in defining and maintaining a global Dynamics 365 template for international implementations.
• Support and facilitate business workshops, functional analysis, and solution design activities.
• Actively contribute to testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and go-live activities.
• Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, SAP specialists, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure the right balance between global standardization and local business requirements.
• Promote the adoption of Microsoft best practices while minimizing unnecessary customizations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and further professionalization of the Dynamics 365 environment.

Technical and Functional Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Dataverse

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• In-depth functional expertise in Dynamics 365 Field Service.
• Demonstrable experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse.
• Hands-on experience configuring model-driven applications.

Field Service & Service Operations

• Strong understanding of work orders and end-to-end service processes.
• Experience with resource scheduling, dispatching, and service operations.
• Knowledge of configuring resources, skills, territories, and bookings.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile and mobile solutions for field technicians.

Functional Analysis & Process Optimization

• Strong understanding of business processes, functional analysis, and solution design.
• Experience translating business requirements into practical Dynamics 365 solutions.
• Ability to advise stakeholders on standard platform functionality versus custom development.
• Experience improving, optimizing, and harmonizing business processes.

International Collaboration

• Demonstrable experience in international or multi-country Dynamics 365 projects.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Strong Advantages / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working in SAP-integrated environments.
• Background in industrial service organizations or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of global template governance and international standardization.
