IKO Waterproofing and Insulation EU is seeking a seasoned MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to design, develop, and support BC solutions using AL in Antwerp. MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

As a member of the IKO ERP Development team, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) using AL.

This role involves analysis, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of our global Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams, Business Analysts, end users, and IT project leadership to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, enhance, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central applications to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain extensions and customizations using AL, following Microsoft development standards and best practices.
• Create and extend tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, and other Business Central application objects.
• Implement business rules, validations, workflow automation, and scalable ERP application enhancements.
• Perform technical analysis and provide effort estimates for development tasks, projects, requirements, and proposed solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and support integrations using APIs, REST services, OData, Azure services, and other enterprise systems.
• Coordinate and test interfaces with external applications, troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues.
• Develop, enhance, and support reporting solutions, including Business Central reports and Jet Reports.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to improve system performance, stability, and user experience.
• Support ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, cloud migrations, and ongoing application maintenance.
• Monitor and respond to development requests and incidents logged through the Service Desk.
• Coordinate with external vendors for issue investigation, reporting, and resolution.
• Manage extension deployments across development, sandbox, and production environments using appropriate Business Central deployment tools, Azure DevOps, and controlled release processes.
• Collaborate with functional teams, Business Analysts, and other developers to deliver stable, scalable, and supportable solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation, solution design, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP development, including hands-on development using AL and/or C/AL.
• Strong experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Relevant Microsoft Dynamics NAV development experience will also be considered, particularly when combined with recent Business Central exposure.
• Hands-on experience developing AL extensions using Visual Studio Code and the AL development environment.
• Experience creating and extending tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, and other Business Central application objects.
• Understanding of Business Central extension architecture, event subscribers, and upgrade-safe development practices.
• Experience with REST APIs, OData, web services, and ERP integration patterns.
• Experience with source control, application lifecycle management, testing, and controlled deployment processes, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in enterprise or global ERP environments.
• Exposure to ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations from Dynamics NAV to Business Central, or enterprise application support.
• Understanding of ERP business processes, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, deployment, and support.
• Ability to develop extensions following Microsoft best practices, minimizing modifications to standard functionality and maintaining upgrade compatibility.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX, including X++ development.
• Experience with Azure-based integrations and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience developing or supporting reporting solutions, including Power BI and Jet Reports.
• Experience supporting global ERP deployments across multiple business units or geographic regions.
• Experience working with multinational teams and stakeholders across Europe and North America.
