Job summary

Imec Ghent is seeking a Micro-transfer Printing Engineer to advance micro-transfer printing for heterogeneous integration on 200mm silicon photonics wafers. You will operate high-precision equipment, develop print recipes, and automate processes to improve throughput and reliability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong affinity for computers, automation and data.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Structured, solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting processes.
• Experience in data analysis, SPC, machine automation or equipment interfacing is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor processing, photonics, micro-assembly or high-precision equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-precision micro-transfer printing equipment.
• Develop print recipes for III-V devices on 200mm silicon photonics wafers.
• Optimize print recipes for automated printing and reduce manual intervention.
• Improve tool throughput, accuracy and repeatability.
• Use Python and software tools to analyze tool performance and process stability.
• Correlate printing parameters with electrical and optical performance of devices.
• Develop automated data processing and visualization for process monitoring.
• Collaborate with process engineers, researchers and suppliers to translate results into process improvements.
