Job summary

Loyens & Loeff, a leading legal and tax firm, seeks a Medior/Senior Associate for its Corporate/M&A Expertise Group in Belgium. You will handle corporate transactions, joint ventures, private equity and takeovers with an international client base.

The role requires a Master’s in Belgian law, 4–6 years M&A experience, native Dutch with good French and strong English, plus a proactive, team-oriented approach to complex deals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Belgian law with an excellent academic record.
• 4–6 years of relevant Corporate and/or M&A experience in a law firm.
• Native Dutch speaker with good understanding of French and strong command of English.
• Genuine interest in transactional work (M&A, private equity, venture capital).
• Proactive, results-driven, team player with clear communication and analytical skills.
• Eager to develop skills in an international working environment.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate/M&A transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, private equity and takeovers.
• Collaborate with teams across departments and offices to deliver client solutions.
• Provide pragmatic, commercially driven analyses to meet client requirements.

Your Profile:

• You hold a master’s degree in Belgian law with an excellent academic record;
• You have 4 to 6 years of relevant Corporate and/or M&A experience in a law firm;
• You are a native Dutch speaker, with a good understanding of French and a strong command of English;
• You have a genuine interest in transactional work (M&A, private equity, venture capital, etc.);
• You work proactively and you are result driven;
• You are a team player, and you communicate easily and effectively with your colleagues and clients;
• You are able to perform in-depth and creative analysis and to find pragmatic solutions that meet your clients’ requirements;
• You are eager to further develop your skills in a challenging and international working environment.
