Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd partners with an established engineering business in the Antwerp area to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. The role focuses on developing high-level mechanical designs for machinery and engineered systems, from concept through to detailed design.

You will produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models, take ownership of projects, and collaborate with production and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and robust.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design for machinery or complex systems.
• Proficient in 3D modelling and technical drawing.
• Hands-on assembly and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level mechanical designs for machinery and engineered systems from concept to detailed design.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models and engineering documentation.

We are working with an established engineering business in the Antwerp area that is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-level mechanical designs for machinery and engineered systems, from initial concepts through to detailed design.
• Produce accurate technical drawings, 3D models and engineering documentation.
• Take ownership of mechanical design projects, ensuring solutions meet technical and operational requirements.
• Get involved in hands-on assembly, testing and validation of designed machinery.
• Work closely with engineering, production and assembly teams to ensure designs can be manufactured and implemented effectively.

About You

• A degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical design or a related discipline.
• Concrete experience in mechanical design, ideally involving machinery or complex mechanical systems.
• Strong skills in technical drawing, 3D modelling and mechanical design principles.
• A practical mindset, with an interest in hands-on assembly and bringing designs to life.
• A strong team player who can also work independently and take ownership of projects.
