Linesight is seeking a Mechanical Construction Lead to oversee mechanical construction activities on a large data centre project. You will ensure piping, HVAC and BMS systems are delivered safely, to specification and aligned with project objectives.

You will collaborate with civil, electrical and architectural teams to resolve interfaces and drive quality and safety on site. The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, PMC/client-rep experience, and strong knowledge of mechanical

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in PMC or client-representative roles on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including piping, HVAC and BMS.
• Skilled at influencing and monitoring contractor performance without direct execution responsibilities.
• Familiar with HSE standards, QA/QC processes, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and reporting with multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and report on the contractor’s execution of mechanical works against design, schedule, and specs.
• Verify adherence to client requirements, local regulations, and HSE standards.
• Review submittals, RFIs and method statements for compliance and constructability.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural leads to resolve interface issues.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify installation quality and track NCRs.
• Ensure RAMS and LMRA processes are in place for all mechanical works.
• Maintain progress reporting, risk tracking and issue logs for client and leadership.
• Support testing, commissioning, and verification of mechanical systems for handover.
