Jan De Nul invites a Marine Design Engineer to join the Marine Design and Engineering Department in Belgium. You will provide technical expertise for the design calculations of new vessels and for conversions, and you will design project-specific installations such as cable laying equipment and offshore structures.

Formación

• Master's degree in engineering sciences with options in electromechanics/mechanics, shipbuilding or naval architecture.
• Experience with calculation methods and software for vessel design.
• Knowledge of hydrodynamic behavior of floating vessels.

Responsabilidades

• Providing technical expertise for the design (calculations) of new vessels and for the conversion of existing vessels.
• Designing project specific installations like cable laying equipment, steel and offshore constructions.
• Leading project specific calculations for hydrodynamics, motion analysis, lifting operations, sea transports, vessel mooring.
• Preparing and reviewing technical specifications for other departments (purchase, logistics).
