SABCA Group in Brussels is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I (Surface Treatment) to drive industrialization of products and implement processes on the surface treatment line. You will optimize production means, define manufacturing methods, and ensure quality and cost targets.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in aerospace. French and/or Dutch language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, ideally in the aerospace sector.
• Data-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented approach.
• Rigor, autonomy, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication in French and/or Dutch.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with an ERP system (ideally SAP).
• CAD knowledge (CATIA V5, SolidWorks) is an asset.

Mission:

Your main missionasManufacturing Engineeris to ensure the industrialization of products and implement the corresponding processes.

Responsabilities:

• Participate in the development of new products and be responsible for industrial choices: optimize part design, define production means, select manufacturing processes
• Study and improve workstations (ergonomics, layout, and safety conditions)
• Optimize and validate production for series production
• Dimension production means and cycle times, validate operational times, and, if needed, manage transfers to subcontractors ensuring success
• Participate in the execution of PFMEA (Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis)
• Propose improvements for equipment testing and validation procedures
• Analyzechanges in customer demands and their impact on manufacturing process definitions
• Analyzedeviations and propose corrective actions while ensuring compliance with costs, quality, and deadlines within your scope of responsibility
• Proactively initiate activities to reduce costs and variation through statistical process control (SPC)
• Participate in investment projects (technical innovations) to optimize manufacturing and testing processes
• Support the creation of strategic roadmaps by proposing and justifying capital investments (machines, tooling, calibration, factory)
• Prepare quotations for new project tenders
• Ensure the proper operation of the surface treatment line through the programming, configuration and optimisation of the control systems governing production equipment.

• Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard
• Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work
• Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support
• Managing confidential data and situations
• Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules
• Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents

Profile:

Education/Experience:

Education:You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

• You have3 to 5 yearsof experience as a manufacturing engineer, ideally in the aerospace sector.

• You have initial experience with an ERP system (ideally SAP)
• Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. CATIA V5, SolidWorks) is an asset
