Sabca in Brussels is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage and optimize supply flows ensuring material availability for production and services in aerospace projects. You will collaborate with production teams, suppliers and logistics partners to meet procurement needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in management/industrial engineering or economics; experience in a similar role; fluent French and English; strong planning, negotiation and data

Responsabilités

• Supply Planning: analyze demand forecasts and stock levels to establish supply plans.
• Order Management: place orders with suppliers considering delivery times and budget.
• Delivery Monitoring: track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and specs.
• Inventory Management: monitor stock and identify optimization opportunities.
• Supplier Management: build relationships, negotiate terms, evaluate performance.
• Problem Resolution: address delays, stockouts, or non-conformities.
• Reporting and Analysis: prepare procurement performance reports and identify improvements.

Mission:

Your main mission as Procurement Officer is to manage and optimize supply flows to ensure continuous availability of materials necessary for production or service delivery. You will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure that procurement needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsabilities:

• Supply Planning: Analyze demand forecasts and current stock levels to establish accurate supply plans;
• Order Management: Place orders with suppliers considering delivery times, required quantities, and budget constraints;
• Delivery Monitoring: Track shipments and deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and meet specifications;
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and identify optimization opportunities to reduce costs while ensuring adequate availability;
• Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contract terms, and regularly evaluate their performance;
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve procurement-related issues such as delivery delays, stockouts, or non-conformities;
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, analyze trends, and propose improvements.

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;
• Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;
• Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support;
• Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules;
• Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents.

Profile:

Education / Experience:

• Education: You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in management engineering, industrial engineering, economics, or an equivalent program.
• Desired experience: You have prior experience in a similar position, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.

• You have excellent planning and organizational skills;
• You demonstrate strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management;
• You are able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
• You have solid analytical skills to interpret data and trends.

• Languages: You have excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
• IT skills: You are proficient with inventory management tools and supply chain planning software.
