Yusen Logistics seeks an experienced Manager Automation to lead the Europe-wide automation capability. You will shape the delivery roadmap, align stakeholders and drive measurable automation impact across regions.

You will develop Automation Engineers, establish a clear operating model and ensure governance, quality and timely delivery in complex multi-country environments.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in IT, Business Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent.
• Experience leading IT, automation, application delivery or business systems teams.
• Proven experience delivering automation, workflow, low code/no code or integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of automation delivery, governance and support models.
• Good working knowledge of automation platforms, preferably Microsoft Power Platform.

• Manage the regional delivery roadmap, including intake, prioritisation, planning and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop, guide and support the Automation Engineers, ensuring clear roles, expectations and growth.
• Coordinate suppliers and delivery partners to ensure predictable, high quality automation delivery.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance and engineering standards across all automation services.
• Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams and technical specialists.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and increase automation adoption.
• Oversee project delivery with clear scope, risks, dependencies and smooth handover into support.

Role Overview

As Manager Automation, you will lead the regional Automation capability for Yusen Logistics Europe. In partnership with the Automation Staff Engineer(s), you will shape the delivery roadmap, manage demand and priorities, coordinate suppliers, and ensure automation initiatives are delivered predictably and with measurable impact.

You will lead and develop the Automation Engineers, define a clear operating model, and ensure the team has the capability and focus to deliver high quality automation solutions. You will also act as the key link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and technical specialists, ensuring alignment, adoption and strong service performance.

This role is ideal for an experienced IT or automation leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys building teams and governance, and wants to drive meaningful digital transformation across Europe.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Degree-level education in IT, Business Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading IT, automation, application delivery or business systems teams.
• Proven experience delivering automation, workflow, low code/no code or integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of automation delivery, governance and support models.
• Good working knowledge of automation platforms, preferably Microsoft Power Platform.
• Skilled in prioritisation, planning, dependency management and risk management.
• Able to translate business problems into automation opportunities and practical delivery plans.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• People management, coaching and performance management experience.
• Comfortable working in complex, multi stakeholder and multi country environments.
