Job summary

Newell Brands in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure continuity and reliability of production processes on-site. This permanent, full-time role includes shift-work and hands-on maintenance of machinery and facilities.

You will diagnose, repair, and set up equipment, read technical drawings, and cooperate with external technicians. Fluent Dutch and English are required; a mechanical or electro-mechanical degree is expected, with PLC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electro-mechanical degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a technical role.
• Ability to read technical drawings and PLC basics.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to avoid breakdowns and keep machinery running efficiently.
• Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and repair equipment and utility issues using schematics, manuals, and technical tools.
• Machine Setup: Perform tool changes, adjust settings, and conduct test runs to ensure machines meet quality standards.
• Facilities & Utilities: Maintain site utilities (compressed air, HVAC, lighting, safety systems) to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Documentation: Accurately log maintenance activities, update technical documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement plans.
• Collaboration: Support external technicians during installations or major repairs and help maintain an orderly, efficient workspace.
