Job summary

Lineage is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its Belgium operations, based in Ieper (Ypres). The role leads all facility engineering and maintenance activities for automated warehousing, with a focus on reliability, cost control, and safety.

You will manage budgets, supplier contracts, and cross-site maintenance initiatives, while mentoring technical staff and coordinating with regional leadership. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in distribution/warehouse maintenance management,

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in distribution/warehouse maintenance management
• Experience with refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, warehouse automation, and IT systems
• Relevant certification
• Fluency in Dutch and English; French preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy solid engineering and maintenance practices, processes and procedures
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance performance
• Coordinate audits and inspections; follow up on action plans
• Advise on Lineage Europe maintenance strategy with REM
• Manage maintenance budgets, repairs and contracts across sites
• Engage suppliers for efficient maintenance; negotiate contracts and monitor performance
• Collaborate with Site Management to coordinate actions across sites
• Administer local SOPs and company policies
• Establish metrics for consistency across campuses

Job Summary

Lineage is currently searching for a Maintenance Manager to join our growing team. Ideal candidates possess experience and/or education in Maintenance Management combined with strong technical skills and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the Facility Engineering and Maintenance function. Responsible for providing direction and operational support of all Automated Warehouse equipment, refrigeration contractor management, material handling equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance activities within their locations. This includes supporting internal and external stakeholder expectations and contributing toward achieving departmental goals. Emphasis is on delivering high quality goods and services to the organization at the lowest cost in a sustainable and ethical manner. This role will be based in Ieper (Ypres). This role reports into the Regional Engineering Manager and/or the General Manager of the facility.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible to develop and deploy solid engineering and maintenance practices, processes and procedures
• Look for synergies withing the region and the sites under its responsibility
• Managing the performance of maintenance tasks, both preventative and corrective.
• Carrying out and registering mandatory technical inspections, coordinate audits/assessments and follow up action plans.
• To advise and initiate action in his/her site on the Lineage Europe Maintenance and Engineering strategy in consultation with the Regional Engineering Manager (REM).
• Assess the in- and outsourced technical activities of Lineage in the designated site
• Manage maintenance budgets, repairs and technical service contracts across sites.
• If necessary, engage a supplier for the efficient handling of malfunctions/repairs. Negotiate and monitor contracts, harmonize services, drive supplier performance and secure commitments.
• Work closely with Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of the actions/activities to be taken.
• Administering company policies and manage local SOPs
• Establishing and implementing metrics to ensure consistency across the campus
• Work on sustainability projects (reducing CO2 impact of Lineage)
• Review and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecasted data and champion process improvement.
• To provide advice and guidance (in consultation with HR) to the Site Manager on all recruitment, termination of employment, promotion, and salary/payroll issues of technical staff.
• Conducting appraisal and performance interviews.
• Develop existing and new talent.
• Working on site Capex and Opex projects under aligned with the region priorities
• Provide technical support to sites and assist in resolving maintenance-related issues.
• Build and monitor investment budgets, challenge requirements and support project deployment.

Who We’re Looking For

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of successful distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership.
• The successful candidate will have a business background to include competency in maintaining/engineering the various functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, warehouse automation, IT systems, and supply chain optimization.
• Relevant certification.
• Speaks Dutch, English and preferable French
