Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a supervisor at our Ghlin site to lead a team of 8-10 team leaders and two supervisors. The role focuses on operational performance, Lean improvements, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, strong logistics leadership experience, and is fluent in English with conversational French. The position requires driving and a 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, operations management or supply chain
• Strong leadership experience in logistics or supply chain
• Fluent in English with conversational French
• Self-driven and resilient in a challenging environment
• Analytical with ability to produce productivity data for reporting
• Able to work in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8-10 team leaders, plus two other Supervisors
• Motivate and manage performance at an operational level
• Drive process improvements with a Lean focus (5s, continuous improvement)
• Manage staffing scheduling and workload across shifts
• Maintain safety, compliance and a positive team culture
• Deliver customer metrics on quality and responsiveness
• Prepare daily/weekly reports documenting processes and outcomes
• Reduce environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water and fuel consumption
