Job summary

Netcompany Belgium is seeking a Local System Administrator to support systems and applications with local operational impact across our European client projects. You will install, configure, and maintain server software, manage users and permissions, and ensure security, performance, and reliability in a Windows-centric environment.

You will work with colleagues across IT interfaces, perform incident management, document procedures, and contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• At least 3 years of system administration experience.
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SharePoint, and network storage solutions.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Administer systems and applications with local operational impact, ensuring stability, performance, and security.

• Perform incident management, including analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware and software issues; coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors as needed.
• Integrate servers into the local IT environment and maintain up-to-date documentation, including server procedures and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within a Windows environment.
• Monitor server performance and oversee the administration of local file and print services.
• Execute backup and restore operations for user data and system configurations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Monitor and manage network resources, including shared drives, printers, and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint.
