Job summary

Athora Belgium is seeking a Team Leader for the Life Operations Life Retail sub-department to steer the 8-person Underwriting & Policy Servicing team. You will guide daily tasks, trainings, and performance, balancing service quality and efficiency in a dynamic, customer-centered environment.

You will develop people through regular coaching, lead meetings, and drive process improvements while managing the department budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or economics.
• Strong leadership with 5+ years in life insurance.
• Fluent in French or Dutch and good other language.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the team with guidance, support and trainings.
• Prioritize the team’s weekly tasks.
• Identify areas for service quality improvements.
• Bring a customer-focused attitude to address broker needs.
• Monitor performance using clear, objective goals.
• Develop people via regular 121s, coaching and reviews.
• Lead information or project meetings.
• Create a positive, stimulating environment for growth.
• Collaborate with Life Retail manager on team strategy.
• Ensure continuous process improvement within the team.
• Steer the department budget.
• Analyze complaints and propose solutions.
