Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Belgium is seeking an Operational Excellence Coach to embed continuous improvement and root-cause problem-solving across its operations.

You will coach teams on-site, applying Lean methodologies, translate training into practical daily practice, and support a cultural shift toward operational excellence. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with 8+ years in Lean/continuous improvement and a Black Belt being advantageous.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Lean, operational excellence, or continuous improvement.
• Deep expertise in Lean methodologies.
• Ability to work on-site for an average of three days per week.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Coach teams directly in operational environments to apply Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques to business challenges.
• Support the rollout of continuous improvement rhythms and translate theoretical training into practical everyday application.
• Embed a continuous improvement and root-cause mindset across all levels of the organization.
• Maintain a visible and active presence within teams to guide employees during the adoption of Lean practices.
• Collaborate with leaders to facilitate a cultural shift towards operational excellence.
