USG Professionals Belgium is seeking a Project Manager to lead the mechanization workstream for a new fresh-food warehouse. The consultant will partner with the Business Track Leader and act as the primary liaison with the mechanization integrator across design, build, and maintenance contracts.

Demonstrated experience in warehouse automation projects, strong logistics knowledge, and the ability to convert business needs into technical specifications are required.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on warehouse automation and large-scale distribution-center projects.
• Strong understanding of fresh food logistics and warehouse operations.
• Experience with warehouse automation integrators and suppliers.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional specs.
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects involving operations, engineering, IT, legal and procurement.
• Familiarity with Design & Build and Service & Maintenance contracts, including design, performance and acceptance criteria.
• Strong organizational, communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English and either Dutch or French; multilingual is a plus.
• Availability to support the project over the next 3–4 years, starting ASAP.

Mansioni

• Co-lead the mechanization workstream coordination with the business track leader for design, implementation, testing, commissioning and acceptance phases.
• Plan, facilitate, and follow up on meetings with the mechanization integrator and internal stakeholders.
• Gather, document, consolidate, and validate business, operational, and technical requirements for the mechanization design.
• Ensure alignment between proposed solution, operational needs, technical standards, budget, and timeline.
• Serve as the primary contact between the mechanization integrator and Logistics, Technical, IT, Legal and Procurement teams.
• Coordinate drafting, review, and finalization of Design & Build contract.
• Coordinate drafting, review, and finalization of Service & Maintenance contract.
• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, actions, and overall progress.
• Identify, monitor, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and decisions.
• Prepare clear status reports for project governance bodies and senior stakeholders.
