ATS Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary automation projects from kickoff to handover, based in Merelbeke. You will own financial and technical outcomes, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations against safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with sales, manage pre-engineering, material orders, and project planning, and supervise electrical, software, and on-site activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in industrial engineering or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience as Project Engineer.
• Experience with automation hardware (PLCs, drives, actuators, sensors).
• Knowledge of AREI and Machinery Directive.
• Fluent Dutch; comfortable in French and English.
• Driving licence B.

Responsabilités

• Manage and follow-up automation projects from start to finish.
• Take full financial and technical responsibility for projects.
• Ensure safe, correct execution per customer expectations.
• Be single point of contact after kickoff with sales; coordinate with ATS teams.
• Develop pre-engineering technically; order materials; draw project plans.
• Oversee electrical, purchasing, software development, on-site implementation.
• Provide site instructions to the site manager and monitor on-site work.
• Negotiate with suppliers and work with subcontractors.
• Ensure timely invoicing; provide input to sales; report to BU Manager.
• Work from Merelbeke office.
