Sofico NV is seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve the test automation strategy across the organization. You will design, build and maintain a scalable test automation framework, and coach engineers in best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will act as a technical leader within the Quality Engineering community, driving innovation and standardization, and collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams to embed

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior test automation role.
• Proven ability to architect test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on testing across UI, API, integration, and performance.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Java, and Python.
• CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• ISTQB CTFL v4.0 mandatory; CTAL-TAE and/or CT-TAS recommended.
• Strong collaboration and communication in distributed agile teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable test automation framework.
• Define and promote test automation standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Drive test automation strategy and architecture aligned with product goals.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA to integrate automated testing into CI/CD.
• Ensure testing is embedded early in the development lifecycle (shift-left).
• Review automated test scripts, results, and coverage.
• Coach and mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives around quality and tooling.
• Contribute to performance and load testing efforts where relevant.
