Sia seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to lead its Data team and drive the future of AI solutions. You will shape strategy, work on client projects and co-build Sia AI products with cross-border teams from the Netherlands, France and beyond.

You will guide ML/AI production, mentor engineers, write technical blogs and present at events while maintaining strong software engineering standards and collaboration across business units.

Qualifications

• MSc level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems or related field of study.
• 2-4 years of experience in building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines and models.
• Strong knowledge in ML fundamentals and domain expertise (e.g., CV, DL, NLP).
• Expert coding skills in Python and at least one of Scala, C++, Java.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL and cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with Unix, DevOps tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes) and big data (Spark/Hadoop/Databricks).
• Interest in data/AI topics, ability to upskill quickly, and client-facing impact.
• Experience with coaching/mentoring engineers; consulting background is a plus.
• Willingness to travel; fluent English; willingness to learn Dutch.

• Leading an internal team toward development of AI products.

• Making architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
• Building production ML/AI solutions with strong software engineering.
• Guiding Data Scientists to scale models into production.
• Giving trainings, leading internal meetings and organizing events.
• Participating in client meetings/workshops and presenting topics.
• Writing blog posts and speaking at conferences.
