Vulcain Engineering Group | Belgium seeks an HV/MV Engineering Lead to drive design, review and commissioning of high-voltage grid infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with utilities, contractors and TSOs to ensure successful delivery of large-scale energy projects across HV and MV systems.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years’ experience, and fluency in English and Dutch, with responsibilities spanning FAT, SAT and commissioning activities and technical

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical power systems or utility projects
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage and medium-voltage systems
• Experience with substations, transformers, protection systems and grid connection projects
• Experience reviewing short-circuit, load flow, selectivity, grounding studies
• Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory

Responsabilités

• Support the engineering and integration of HV transmission systems up to 150 kV
• Review technical documentation for HV substations, cables and grid connection infrastructure
• Coordinate engineering interfaces with contractors, suppliers and TSOs
• Review grounding and earthing concepts for substations and facilities
• Review and integrate transformers and protection and control systems
• Support MV installations including GIS switchgear and MV distribution networks
• Develop interlocking philosophies, operational concepts and network selectivity studies
• Review protection schemes including transformer protection and grid protection
• Coordinate interfaces with the transmission grid operator and FAT/SAT/commissioning activities
• Prepare technical documentation and commissioning dossiers
