Vulcain Engineering is seeking a Project Lead to manage the execution of strategic electrical infrastructure projects across Belgium. You will oversee high‑voltage grid works from construction to commissioning and act as the main interface between contractors, site teams and stakeholders.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in project engineering or site coordination.

• Experience managing contractors or coordinating on-site activities.

Responsabilités

• Lead execution of HV substations, cables and grid reinforcement works.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and site activities through construction and commissioning.
• Monitor project planning, budget, risks and progress.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Manage site interfaces and resolve technical challenges.
• Organize progress meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities and project handover.
• Contribute to delivering a modernized Belgian grid.

As part of our Energy & Infrastructure activities, we are looking for a Project Lead to manage the execution of strategic electrical infrastructure projects across Belgium. You will oversee the realization of high-voltage grid projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution from construction through commissioning. Acting as the key interface between contractors, site teams and project stakeholders, you will ensure that installations are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality requirements.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Lead the execution phase of infrastructure projects involving high-voltage substations, underground cables and grid reinforcement works.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and site activities throughout construction and commissioning.
• Monitor project planning, budget, risks and progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Manage site interfaces and resolve technical or organizational challenges.
• Organize progress meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities and project handover.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects supporting the expansion and modernization of the electrical grid.

ABOUT YOU:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, construction management, project management or site coordination.
• Experience managing contractors or coordinating on-site activities.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, utility, construction or industrial projects is considered a strong asset.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory (Dutch is a plus)
