Bancontact Company in Brussels seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to own the high-level payment architecture across the Bancontact ecosystem, including the Pay app back-end, mobile contactless infrastructure, the Certification Platform and Wero flows.

Reporting to the CTO, you will lead architectural governance within CORE, drive strategic roadmaps, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and partner with FAST and SECURE teams to align strategy and delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in payment technologies, including cards and tokenisation.
• Proven experience in enterprise architecture for scalable payment ecosystems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication.
• Fluent in English; bilingual NL/FR preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain the Bancontact high-level architecture and act as principal architect for the payment ecosystem.
• Organise and lead regular architecture reviews with ATS and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure architecture reviews cover security, resilience, governance, monitoring and vendor dependencies.
• Contribute to Bancontact’s technology roadmap and standardisation efforts (ECPC, CPACE).
• Drive the Certification Platform and test-architecture evolution to support validation and certification processes.
